Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study for Okeanos by William Tucker was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,008.00 (€ 858.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Tucker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beulah Xii in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,911.39).
