Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Anastasi could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Online auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,669.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anastasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 186,023.32).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Anastasi konnte im Juli 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open | Online wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.669,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00.
