Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California, which included the work Untitled (Subway Drawing), circa 1990s by William Anastasi. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,649.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anastasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 186,023.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Subway Drawing), circa 1990s von William Anastasi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.649,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Anastasi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 242.500,00 (€ 186.023,32).
