Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Subway Drawing), circa 1990s by William Anastasi was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,649.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Anastasi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled III (Abandoned Painting) in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 242,500.00 (€ 186,023.32).

Die Arbeit Untitled (Subway Drawing), circa 1990s von William Anastasi wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.649,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Anastasi erzielen.
