Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wes Lang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April this year. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Flying Death sold for USD 3,810.00 (€ 3,451.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wes Lang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Unity Within in September last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 257,589.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wes Lang erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Flying Death für USD 3.810,00 (€ 3.451,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wes Lang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Unity Within im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 257.589,70).
