Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online, which included the work Untitled Study by Wes Lang. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,450.72). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wes Lang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Unity Within in September last year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 257,589.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled Study von Wes Lang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.450,72) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wes Lang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Unity Within im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 257.589,70).
