Auction result well in line with expectations
The work If We Leave Here Tomorrow by Wes Lang was auctioned at Phillips in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 88,900.00 (€ 102,081.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wes Lang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Unity Within, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 252,000.00 (€ 257,589.70).

Die Arbeit If We Leave Here Tomorrow von Wes Lang kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 88.900,00 (€ 102.081,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wes Lang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Unity Within beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 252.000,00 (€ 257.589,70) versteigert wurde.
