Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Record Box (I) by Steven Shearer was sold in the Contemporary Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 22,717.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Steven Shearer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hash in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 148,617.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Record Box (I) von Steven Shearer wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 22.717,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Steven Shearer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hash im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 148.617,21).
