Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Sneaky Snapshots by Steven Shearer. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,876.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Steven Shearer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hash, which sold at auction in October 2015 for GBP 106,250.00 (€ 148,617.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sneaky Snapshots von Steven Shearer zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.876,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Steven Shearer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hash beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für GBP 106.250,00 (€ 148.617,21) versteigert wurde.
