Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Brother by Steven Shearer was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 120,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 138,801.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Steven Shearer have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2015 the work Hash was auctioned for GBP 106,250.00 (€ 148,617.21).

Die Arbeit Brother von Steven Shearer wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 120.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 138.801,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
