Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Steven Shearer could be acquired at Phillips in London in March this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 12,700.00 (€ 14,448.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Steven Shearer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hash in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 148,617.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Steven Shearer konnte im März diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 12.700,00 (€ 14.448,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Steven Shearer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hash im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 148.617,21).
