Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Slater Bradley could be acquired at Phillips in New York in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Hyperion changed hands for USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,830.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Slater Bradley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space (02) in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 26,285.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Slater Bradley konnte im Mai 2012 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Hyperion für USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.830,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Slater Bradley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ladies and Gentlemen We are Floating in Space (02) im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 26.285,99).
