Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Spanish Good Friday (Campbell Dodgson 412) by David Muirhead Bone was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 1,106.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by David Muirhead Bone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Soho Square, London in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,783.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Spanish Good Friday (Campbell Dodgson 412) von David Muirhead Bone kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 1.106,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Muirhead Bone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Soho Square, London im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.783,59).
