In March 2015 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Untitled (TOP) by Sebastian Black. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,310.12) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sebastian Black - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Chess Sickness, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,287.61).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im März 2015 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (TOP) von Sebastian Black zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.310,12) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sebastian Black mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Chess Sickness beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.287,61) versteigert wurde.
