Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's 100, which included this untitled work by Sebastian Black. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,308.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sebastian Black have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Chess Sickness in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,287.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's 100 durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Sebastian Black zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.308,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sebastian Black auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Chess Sickness im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.287,61).
