Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sebastian Black could be acquired at Christies in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the No Regrets: The Collectors' Edition auction, the work Machine for Twang Twang Twang changed hands for GBP 2,268.00 (€ 2,642.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sebastian Black achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chess Sickness in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,287.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sebastian Black konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion No Regrets: The Collectors' Edition wechselte die Arbeit Machine for Twang Twang Twang für GBP 2.268,00 (€ 2.642,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sebastian Black erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chess Sickness im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.287,61).
