The work Funny Feeling by Sarah Sze was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in October last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 945.00 (€ 951.28), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Sze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surprise Ending in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 737,500.00 (€ 603,025.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Funny Feeling von Sarah Sze wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 945,00 (€ 951,28) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Sze erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Surprise Ending im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 737.500,00 (€ 603.025,35).
