The work Lower Treasury by Sarah Sze was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction at Phillips in New York in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 100,800.00 (€ 97,646.03), 68% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sarah Sze have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Surprise Ending in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 737,500.00 (€ 603,025.35).

Die Arbeit Lower Treasury von Sarah Sze wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 100.800,00 (€ 97.646,03) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sarah Sze auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Surprise Ending im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 737.500,00 (€ 603.025,35).
