Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Far Site/Near Site by Sarah Sze was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,335.65) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Sze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surprise Ending in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 737,500.00 (€ 603,025.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Far Site/Near Site von Sarah Sze wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.335,65) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Sze erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Surprise Ending im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 737.500,00 (€ 603.025,35).
