Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Cyan Stone by Sarah Sze. The price achieved of USD 37,500.00 (€ 31,744.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Sze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surprise Ending in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 737,500.00 (€ 603,025.35).
