Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled, Schooled Chairs by Robin Rhode. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,248.38). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Robin Rhode - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Street Gym, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 92,500.00 (€ 68,757.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled, Schooled Chairs von Robin Rhode zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.248,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Robin Rhode mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Street Gym beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 92.500,00 (€ 68.757,90) versteigert wurde.
