This work of art by Richard Stankiewicz could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work The Golden Bird Is Often Sad changed hands for USD 35,000.00 (€ 29,628.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00.
