Auction result well in line with expectations

This work without title by Richard Stankiewicz was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The price achieved of USD 13,860.00 (€ 11,900.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Richard Stankiewicz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playful Bathers in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 108,783.57).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Stankiewicz wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 11.900,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Stankiewicz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playful Bathers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 108.783,57).
