Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2017 Christies in New York held the auction First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Bird by Richard Stankiewicz. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,678.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Stankiewicz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Playful Bathers in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 108,783.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bird von Richard Stankiewicz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.678,92) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Stankiewicz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Playful Bathers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 108.783,57).
