Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Richard Stankiewicz was sold in the The Collection of Edward Albee auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,279.44). Admittedly, works by Richard Stankiewicz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Playful Bathers in May 2012 with an auction result of USD 134,500.00 (€ 108,783.57).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Stankiewicz wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion The Collection of Edward Albee bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.279,44) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Richard Stankiewicz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Playful Bathers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 134.500,00 (€ 108.783,57).
