Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Richard Pousette-Dart was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,326.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Pousette-Dart achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blood Wedding in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 2,629,000.00 (€ 2,489,111.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Richard Pousette-Dart kam im September 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.326,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Pousette-Dart erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blood Wedding im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.629.000,00 (€ 2.489.111,91).
