Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Randall Davey could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Prints auction, the work Group Of Thirty-One Prints changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,206.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Randall Davey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hialeah, Going To The Post in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 40,625.00 (€ 30,851.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Randall Davey konnte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Prints wechselte die Arbeit Group Of Thirty-One Prints für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.206,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Randall Davey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hialeah, Going To The Post im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.625,00 (€ 30.851,31).
