Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work In the Paddock by Randall Davey for USD 1,410.00 (€ 1,567.89). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Randall Davey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hialeah, Going To The Post in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 40,625.00 (€ 30,851.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit In the Paddock von Randall Davey für USD 1.410,00 (€ 1.567,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Randall Davey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hialeah, Going To The Post im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.625,00 (€ 30.851,31).
