Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Living with Art, which included the work Jockey's leaving track by Randall Davey. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,367.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Randall Davey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hialeah, Going To The Post in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 40,625.00 (€ 30,851.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jockey's leaving track von Randall Davey zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.367,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Randall Davey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hialeah, Going To The Post im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.625,00 (€ 30.851,31).
