The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,287.50 (€ 7,865.14), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Randall Davey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hialeah, Going To The Post, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 40,625.00 (€ 30,851.31).
