This artwork by Rammellzee achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Untitled (Magnetism) sold for USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,930.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rammellzee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Coming of Zee, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 252,000.00 (€ 218,144.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rammellzee erzielte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Magnetism) für USD 87.500,00 (€ 77.930,17) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rammellzee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Coming of Zee beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 252.000,00 (€ 218.144,04) versteigert wurde.
