A top price for Rammellzee - as previously expected
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Public Intervention: Art of the Street, which included the work The Coming of Zee by Rammellzee. The price achieved of USD 252,000.00 (€ 218,144.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Coming of Zee is the most expensive artwork by Rammellzee that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Public Intervention: Art of the Street durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Coming of Zee von Rammellzee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 218.144,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Coming of Zee das teuerste Kunstwerk von Rammellzee, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
