Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Feeley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2007. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,059.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Feeley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot ACRUX sold at auction in May 2013 with the realized price of USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.059,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ACRUX im Mai 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55).
