Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Paul Feeley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2012. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Sybaris sold for USD 62,500.00 (€ 50,549.98) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Feeley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot ACRUX sold at auction in May 2013 with the realized price of USD 118,750.00 (€ 91,430.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Sybaris für USD 62.500,00 (€ 50.549,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Feeley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ACRUX im Mai 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 91.430,55).
