Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work North America Depicted by Neil Jenney. The price achieved of USD 112,500.00 (€ 82,478.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 140,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Neil Jenney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Threat and Sanctuary in May 2016 with an auction result of USD 965,000.00 (€ 866,636.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit North America Depicted von Neil Jenney zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 82.478,01) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 140.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Neil Jenney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Threat and Sanctuary im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 965.000,00 (€ 866.636,73).
