Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Work No.200: Half The Air In A Given Space by Martin Creed. It changed hands for a price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 82,718.85) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Other works by Martin Creed have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2012 the work Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space was auctioned for USD 158,500.00 (€ 118,869.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Work No.200: Half The Air In A Given Space von Martin Creed zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 82.718,85) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Martin Creed konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2012 die Arbeit Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space für USD 158.500,00 (€ 118.869,06) versteigert.
