Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Martin Creed achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June last year. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Work No. 3167 sold for GBP 3,024.00 (€ 3,513.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Creed achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 118,869.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Martin Creed erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit Work No. 3167 für GBP 3.024,00 (€ 3.513,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Creed erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 118.869,06).
