Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Work No. 471 (FEELINGS) by Martin Creed was auctioned at Christies in London in June this year. The price achieved of GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,063.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Martin Creed have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 118,869.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Work No. 471 (FEELINGS) von Martin Creed kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.063,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Creed auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Work No. 204: Half the air in a given space im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 118.869,06).
