Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Viento Solano by Martín Chirino was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2008. The price achieved of GBP 70,850.00 (€ 90,015.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martín Chirino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Viento, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 226,800.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Viento Solano von Martín Chirino kam im Juli 2008 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 70.850,00 (€ 90.015,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Martín Chirino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Viento beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 226.800,00 versteigert wurde.
