It achieved a price of GBP 76,200.00 (€ 88,683.68), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martín Chirino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Viento, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 226,800.00.

Die Arbeit Cabeza Reclinada. El Grito I von Martín Chirino kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 76.200,00 (€ 88.683,68) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Für andere Arbeiten von Martín Chirino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Viento beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 226.800,00 versteigert wurde.
