The work El Viento (3) by Martín Chirino was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in June 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 98,889.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martín Chirino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work El Viento, which sold at auction in June 2021 for EUR 226,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit El Viento (3) von Martín Chirino wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 98.889,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Martín Chirino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit El Viento beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für EUR 226.800,00 versteigert wurde.
