Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Margot by Markus Schinwald. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,262.99). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Markus Schinwald - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Adam, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 68,750.00 (€ 61,742.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Margot von Markus Schinwald zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 22.500,00 (€ 18.262,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Markus Schinwald mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Adam beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 68.750,00 (€ 61.742,25) versteigert wurde.
