Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled by Marc Swanson for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,852.87). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marc Swanson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Black Full Sneak), which sold at auction in March 2012 for USD 45,000.00 (€ 33,748.31).
