Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Marc Swanson could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Prints and Multiples Online auction, the work Untitled (Sequined Antler) (Peter Norton Family Christmas Project) changed hands for USD 250.00 (€ 224.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marc Swanson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Black Full Sneak) in March 2012 with an auction result of USD 45,000.00 (€ 33,748.31).
