In May 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Number 39A by Leonardo Drew. The result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,299.86) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Leonardo Drew have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Number 23 in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 105,000.00 (€ 95,203.55).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Number 39A von Leonardo Drew zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.299,86) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonardo Drew auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Number 23 im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 105.000,00 (€ 95.203,55).
