Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Number 8L by Leonardo Drew. The price achieved of USD 43,750.00 (€ 40,119.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonardo Drew - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Number 23, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 105,000.00 (€ 95,203.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Number 8L von Leonardo Drew zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 40.119,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonardo Drew mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Number 23 beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 105.000,00 (€ 95.203,55) versteigert wurde.
