Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by León Ferrari was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 78,794.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by León Ferrari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grafismos, Flores Y Mariposas, which sold at auction in May 2019 for USD 225,000.00 (€ 201,811.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von León Ferrari wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 78.794,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von León Ferrari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grafismos, Flores Y Mariposas beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für USD 225.000,00 (€ 201.811,82) versteigert wurde.
