Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Esfera (Sphere) by León Ferrari for USD 137,500.00 (€ 121,434.25). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 140,000.00 – 180,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by León Ferrari have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2019 by the work Grafismos, Flores Y Mariposas at USD 225,000.00 (€ 201,811.82).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 140.000,00 – 180.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von León Ferrari wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2019 die Arbeit Grafismos, Flores Y Mariposas mit USD 225.000,00 (€ 201.811,82).
