Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 11 (eleven) Blue Vest by Laylah Ali was sold in the First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2011. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,288.02). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Laylah Ali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 29,800.00 (€ 19,141.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 11 (eleven) Blue Vest von Laylah Ali wurde im März 2011 in der Auktion First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.288,02) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Laylah Ali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 29.800,00 (€ 19.141,83) versteigert wurde.
