Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Afternoon Sale, which included this untitled work by Laylah Ali. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,724.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Laylah Ali have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2008 the work without title was auctioned for USD 29,800.00 (€ 19,141.83).

Im November 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Afternoon Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Laylah Ali zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 17.724,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Laylah Ali konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2008 die Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 29.800,00 (€ 19.141,83) versteigert.
